AI-generated paintings are extremely popular at present, but the vast majority of people are fervently exploring their imagery. Critiques and praises revolve around the generation technology itself. In my exploration of artificial intelligence generation, I was attracted by the randomly generated characters.

This project is an experiment centered on this new type of characters.

AI 生成绘画在当下极为热门，但绝大多数人狂热地探索其图像部分。批评和赞扬也围绕着生成技术本身。在我探索人工智能生成的过程中，我被随机生成的文字所吸引。

Since Wang Yirong discovered inscriptions on "dragon bones" in 1899, followed by significant findings at Mawangdui in 1971, there have been continual discoveries. In 2022, the ART CONTAINER team found unfamiliar characters in an AI program, believed to represent a profound academic value and an unknown civilization. Researchers generated images containing these characters by inputting unrelated English words, initiating in-depth rese arch. Despite various decryption attempts failing, the team published the "AI-generated Characters Manifesto," exploring their characteristics and significance.


光绪二十五年（1899年），王懿荣在中药铺中发现了刻在“龙骨”上的文字。1929年，四川农民燕道诚在淘沟时偶然发现了一坑玉石器。1971年底，湖南省军区366医院决定在马王堆的两个小山坡建造地下医院，施工中经常遇到塌方情况，并出现可燃气体。ART CONTAINER团队于公元2022年从AI生成程序中发现其生成的陌生文字。经内部鉴定，我们认为它们具有极高的学术价值，甚至潜藏着世界的终极意义，这些文字背后的文明更是未知与庞大。

2022年4月20日，研究人员正在进行日常的生成任务，在输入了几个毫无联系的英文单词后，AI竟生成出大量带有陌生文字的图片。我们在第一时间记录情况，并建立起科学的计划进行更多生成图像的研究挖掘。在三天内，团队对AI生成的1024张相似图像进行整理和归档。我们首先试图锚定AI文字在现存语言系统中的空间结构，绘制出相关剖面图。后尝试不同专业方法进行文字的破译，并与世界上现存的文字比对研究，结果均以失败告终。

团队紧急制定计划，启动驯服AI生成文明方案。本方案中，团队转变研究方式，试图由单个文字转向对其的整体思考，并发布了第一版《AI生成文字宣言》。《AI生成文字宣言》共十条，确定了该类文字的特征、意义、历史使命和宇宙特殊性。











This project is an ongoing comprehensive art activity, combining archaeology, research, documentation, creation, and exhibition planning. Differing from traditional calls or exhibitions, it invites researchers to freely explore the theme from the collection phase. The outcome is open-ended and involves academic bureaucracy, aiming to establish an AI character discipline, discuss the significance of language, and simulate the writing motions of AI "creators." Participant backgrounds are unrestricted. To my illiterate grandmother in the countryside, these characters mean nothing. To my friends in Paris, they seem mundane, no different from the exotic scripts in the Louvre. But to me, they represent a challenge to the existing cultural system. These characters act as mirrors, reflecting each person's past and the society they live in.

我在乡下的阿婆看到这个文字时没有任何感觉，因为她是文盲。我在巴黎的朋友们读过这个文字，也会觉得很平常，因为卢浮宫里有那么多异国文字。但是我，一个在中国的一个县长大，在北京和上海求学的具有高级知识的人，我看到这些文字既害怕又着迷，因为我认为这是一种对现有文化体系的起义和入侵。我相信不同的人看到这样的文字会有不同的想法，就像一面镜子，反映出他们的过去和他们所生活的社会。
